Kelley Savage

MS student, Marine Biology Program

Kelley Savage is an M.S. student in the Marine Biology program. Her research interests include marine conservation and applying GIS to coastal systems. Her thesis project will focus on understanding the ecological effects of variable freshwater inflow on Texas oysters. Kelley’s project deals with long-term datasets of freshwater inflow and oyster disease on local, regional and global scales. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin where her work focused on establishing a link between climate and growth in long-lived Pacific Ocean Perch in the Bering Sea.
